According to
Reuters, an unnamed source told them that the next Kindle will have a built-in light, eliminate the need for buying a separate light,
though there is a trade-off: the front-lit screen will consume more power making the battery run out more quickly. Amazon will not be the first to have a front-lit screen since Barnes & Noble's started shipping its $139 "Nook Simple Touch with GlowLight" at the end of April. Reuters'
source also said that Amazon plans to launch a new Kindle Fire later this year in the holiday season.
True or False
Though I do think the next Kindle will have a front-lit screen (if Nook has one, Kindle will have one), I think this unnamed-source is fake because Kindles usually come out closer to the holiday season. (I'm often skeptical of unnamed sources.)
