Contrary To Popular Belief The Wii U, Is Not DOOMED ☆ Wii U Sales Update 5 ☆ Wii U Sales are Rising

Welcome to the Wii U Sales Update 5. As some of you may know I usually post a Wii U sales update every 2 weeks or so, but due to the recent sad news of Rayman Legends being delayed and coming to other consoles, and the fact most people think that means the Wii U is doomed to GameCube like sales. I have decided to make a Wii U sales update a week earlier, enjoy.

Sales Update Overview
Wii U sales are in fact going up, 2 weeks earlier than I predicted last sales update! The Wii U sales this week are 38,502 units sold, while last weeks were 35,070 units sold, a gain of 3,432.

This weeks changes
This sales update is smaller then most due to time restrictions. Also due to problems I can not control, games sales for this week are missing. I have added the game sales for week ten (or ninth for Europe 8th for Japan) though.

Note: sales figures that have some data from VGChartz and other unreliable places are marked with a *

Thoughts? Wii U doomed?

  1. im pretty sure people have been saying nintendo systems have been doomed ever since the SNES days. yet they keep a strong lead with most of their systems time after time.

  2. Gaming on all kinds of systems continues to go strong, despite the projections. I just learned you can even get an app for gaming on a bar code scanner. People want to play every chance they get.

  3. Again; the problem is, everyone is comparing Wii U to Wii and DS; not the HD twins and claiming that Nintendo is doomed; because it's an obvious straw man argument that they can bring out and no one notices it as such. This is why Nintendo takes a beating from critics when they return to profit; while Sony gets praised for still having a $124 million loss.
